In the top paid games on Steam, there are significant changes—leading positions are taken by Grounded 2 and Battlefield 6
In the week from July 28 to August 5, four newcomers made their way into the top 10 paid games on Steam. Some of them are quite unexpected.
Grounded 2
The first surprise comes right at the top spot. Grounded 2 from Obsidian Entertainment and Eidos-Montréal is selling like hotcakes. The cooperative sandbox game surpassed Battlefield 6 in weekly revenue, whose pre-orders began on July 31.
The second surprise is the excellent start of Titan Quest II. Despite early access and a lack of content, the project performed brilliantly, securing the fourth place in sales among premium titles. As we mentioned earlier today, the game sold 300,000 copies in the first 72 hours.
The third chart surprise is the appearance of the hobbit life simulator Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of The Rings Game. The project ranks ninth in sales among paid games. This is the first time we recall a cozy title reaching such a high position.
