Bus Flipper paid off on Steam in 48 hours
The bus repair simulator by Cyprus-based Polden Publishing managed to recoup its development costs within the first two days of sales.
This was reported by Kirill Oreshkin, co-founder and CEO of the publisher, on his LinkedIn page.
Bus Flipper was fully released on Steam on July 31. By Sunday evening, it had sold six thousand copies and earned a net of $45,000.
“The game is listed in New and Trending. It ranks high in the Sims, Design, Relaxing, and Building categories. All this resulted in 10 million impressions from Steam on the first day,” Oreshkin also comments.
Meanwhile, the number of reviews on the Valve platform is small — just over 100. The game's rating is "mostly positive."
Upon release, the game had 30,000 wishlists, and it went on sale with a base price of $12.5, along with a launch discount of 25% (meaning it sold for just under $10 in the initial days).
