SteamDB introduced leaderboards for games based on DAU and wishlist activity

The service SteamDB has started publishing two additional rankings. In one, it sorts games on Steam by the number of daily active users (DAU), and in the other—by "wishlist activity."

The update was announced by the creator of the service, Pavel Djundik. The developer noted that the data is taken directly from the Steam API without explanations, so he does not know exactly what is meant by "wishlist activity."

The new wishlist chart includes both already released and upcoming games. At the time of writing, it is topped by Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, followed by Shadow Labyrinth and Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. Likely, these titles are being added to Steam wishlists the most actively today, but it's not definite. The number of wishlists for these and other games is not disclosed.

The size of the DAU for games on the corresponding chart is also not specified, but it definitely differs from the peak online numbers over 24 hours. Currently, the rankings are led by Counter-Strike 2, PUBG, Dota 2, Wallpaper Engine, and Apex Legends. For comparison, in the daily online top chart, Wallpaper Engine did not make the top five, losing out to Delta Force.
