Wuchang: Fallen Feathers was released on Steam with "overwhelmingly negative" reviews and a high number of concurrent players
On the night of July 24, the publisher 505 Games and the Chinese studio Leenzee released the Soulslike game Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. Steam users are currently very dissatisfied with the game. In the first few hours, they left 4,400 reviews, of which only 19% were positive.

One reason for the criticism is the changed pricing of the game. According to gamers, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers became cheaper in several regions right after its release, which left those who pre-ordered at a loss. Additionally, some have reported that all the bonuses promised for the Deluxe edition were included in the standard edition. Players feel that by doing so, the developers acted unfairly.
Furthermore, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is criticized for its optimization, mediocre graphics, and inconvenient controls. On the positive side, the overall atmosphere of the game and its dynamic combat are highlighted.
The widespread dissatisfaction did not prevent Wuchang: Fallen Feathers from showing strong online numbers on Steam, with a peak of 114,132 concurrent players.
In addition to PC, the new release is available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, including through Game Pass.
