It’s likely that in the evening, when the Western audience joins in, or over the weekend, the numbers will increase. But even now, Mecha BREAK is among the top 20 most popular new releases of 2025 on Steam, surpassing games such as Rematch, inZOI, and Sid Meier’s Civilization VII in online players.
Nevertheless, during the beta tests, the online count for the Steam version of Mecha BREAK reached much higher numbers. In February, the shooter had 317,522 players online simultaneously.
It’s worth noting that many were anticipating the release of Mecha BREAK. According to data from Alinea Analytics, by the end of June, the game had 2.8 million wishlists.
Early players were not very satisfied with Mecha BREAK. Currently, it holds only 59% positive reviews on Steam. Most of the reviews are written in Chinese (69.2%) and English (29%).
