Bongo Cat did not turn a profit despite its popularity on Steam
Bongo Cat is a free idle game where the cat taps its paws on the taskbar each time a user types or clicks. The project was released on March 5 and soon ranked eighth among the top new releases of 2025 with the highest online presence on Steam, but it didn't bring substantial money to its creators.

In a conversation with Eurogamer, Irox Games' head Marcel Zurawka stated that Bongo Cat is still not profitable.
Breakdown of Bongo Cat's net revenue by month:
- March - $2,000;
- April - $4,050;
- May - $3,800;
- June - $2,800.
However, according to Zurawka, he never intended to make money from Bongo Cat. He wanted to experiment with the Steam marketplace, where users sell in-game drops for real money (in the case of Bongo Cat, these are hats that occasionally drop for the cat).
Currently, Bongo Cat's daily online presence on Steam averages 170-180 thousand people. But as Zurawka admits, about half of them are bots.
