Stellar Blade has established itself as the most popular single-player game published by PlayStation on Steam, judging by concurrent player numbers.

Although Helldivers 2, a multiplayer game, holds the overall top spot for a Sony game with a peak of over 450,000 concurrent players, Stellar Blade surpasses single-player titles like Ghost of Tsushima, God of War, and Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered in peak player counts. These games previously achieved highs of 77,154, 73,529, and 66,436 players, respectively.

Stellar Blade is currently boasting a concurrent player figure exceeding 183,000, and this number has already been eclipsed several times today, with expectations it may rise again over the weekend.

The game was launched on PC on June 11 and has received an "overwhelming positive" rating from users on Valve's platform.

On June 11, it was reported that Sony's Bend Studio underwent layoffs following the cancellation of a planned live service game.
