As Carless writes, in April, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered generated over $105 million in revenue on Steam. This happened despite its surprise release. Though rumors about the title had been circulating for some time, its official unveiling took place only on the day of the premiere. The remaster's release as part of the Game Pass subscription did not hinder it either.
The second-best-selling new release of April on Steam was Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 by Sandfall Interactive, with April revenue of $25.3 million. It is noteworthy that the French JRPG, like The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, was available on Game Pass from day one.
Just slightly less, by the end of April, RuneScape: Dragonwilds earned $25.2 million on Steam, completing the top three in revenue among new games of the month.
