The gaming sector grew by 5%, with an 8% increase in Xbox content and services, driven by Xbox Game Pass and popular games like Call of Duty and Minecraft.

PC Game Pass revenue saw a growth exceeding 45% year-on-year, and Xbox Cloud Gaming reached a milestone with 150 million hours played, surpassing the 140 million recorded in the previous quarter.
Nadella also noted the outstanding performance of The Minecraft Movie, which achieved global box office earnings of over $550 million within ten days of release.
"Seeing The Minecraft Movie become the year's highest-grossing film is remarkable," commented Nadella.
"Along with tapping into new revenue streams with our IPs, we've observed a 75% boost in Minecraft's weekly active users compared to last year," he added.
Looking forward, Microsoft forecasts gaming revenue to increase in the "mid-single digits," with Xbox content and services growth anticipated to reach "high-single digits," driven by proprietary content.
