South of Midnight launched on Steam with fewer than 1.5 thousand people online

On April 8, the adventure action game South of Midnight had its full release on PC and Xbox Series — prior to this, only owners of the premium edition could play it for five days. At least on Steam, the project from Compulsion Games did not capture much interest.

According to SteamDB, the newcomer managed to attract only 1,411 concurrent players on Steam. For comparison, the peak Steam online for the previous Compulsion Games title, We Happy Few, was more than twice as high, reaching 3,498 players.

Possibly, the relatively low number of players on Steam can be partially explained by the inclusion of South of Midnight in the Game Pass, leading some gamers to choose to explore the game via subscription. However, there is no data available about the title's performance outside of the Valve platform.
