Microsoft has announced that its ID@Xbox initiative has generated over $5 billion in payouts to developers since it started in 2013.

According to a statement from Guy Richards, the program's director, over 1,000 titles were released in 2024 through ID@Xbox, including Balatro, Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl, and Phasmophobia.
In an interview with GameRant, Richards noted that more than 5,000 developers worldwide have collaborated with ID@Xbox, resulting in approximately 6,000 games since the program's beginning.
Richards emphasized the remarkable achievements by saying, "If you were to ask anybody who was here when we first started the program if we'd be achieving these numbers in 2025, they wouldn't believe it."
He praised the imaginative efforts of independent developers and the support from Xbox to encourage global creativity and smoother integration of new games into their platform.
Richards also highlighted the enthusiasm of Xbox fans, stating that their passion fuels the diverse array of games available on the platform's devices.
