This is the second-best result for the company's games on Steam. The original GTA V, which is now titled with the subtitle Legacy, had a higher peak of 364,548 players. For comparison, the peak concurrent players for Red Dead Redemption 2 on Steam was 99,993.

The particularly high numbers for the updated GTA V can largely be explained by the fact that owners of the original game received access for free. It should be noted that the daily online count for GTA V Legacy on Steam typically stays around 180-200 thousand players.
Nevertheless, GTA V Enhanced holds a "mixed" rating on Steam. Users of the platform have written 5,000 reviews, of which only 50% are positive.
The updated version of the game is frequently criticized for issues with character transfers from the original GTA V. Additionally, many gamers are disappointed with the minimal graphic changes they perceive.
It is worth noting that GTA VI is expected to be released by the end of the year. While the exact release date has not been announced, it is known that Take-Two Interactive plans to release GTA VI in the fall.
