The exact number of PlayStation Poland employees laid off is unknown. Sony has not officially commented on the situation.

PlayStation Poland primarily handles the logistics and marketing of games in Poland, as well as their localization into Polish. According to CD-Action, Sony now plans to outsource these tasks to an external marketing agency. Xbox operates similarly in the Polish market—rather than opening an office in the country, they hired the agency Monday PR.

Over the past two years, several gaming companies have closed their branches in Poland. Notably, the local offices of Ubisoft and Electronic Arts have ceased operations. This is linked to cost-cutting measures due to the gaming industry's crisis, during which companies found it more advantageous to eliminate smaller divisions.
