Civilization VII became the best-selling paid game on Steam last week, while Avowed had a decent start

SteamDB published the list of best-selling games for the period from February 11 to February 18.

Sid Meier’s Civilization VII

  • The top of the paid games list was led by Sid Meier’s Civilization VII. Despite a low rating, it continues to show a decent online presence with 40-50 thousand players. Judging by sales, the ratings do not seem to hinder its growth.
  • Second in sales among paid games is Monster Hunter Wilds. The game's release is scheduled for February 28. Sales growth is happening during regular open beta tests conducted by the publisher. The latest one took place from February 13 to 17.
  • Kingdom Come: Deliverance II dropped two positions in the top list, yet it remains in the top-3 in sales. It has maintained a high online player count, still holding at 140 thousand players this week. Plus, as a reminder, the game recently surpassed 2 million copies sold.
  • Among the new releases, Avowed performed well. The game made it into the top-5 grossing paid games last week. Its online activity is currently low — peaking at 10 thousand people. However, its release is only today, February 18. Prior to this, the game was available only to those who purchased its premium version for $90.
  • ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN pre-orders made it into the top ten in sales, becoming available for purchase only on February 12. The game is scheduled for release in May, leaving it ample time to generate substantial revenue well before its actual launch.
  • As discounts ended for Hogwarts Legacy, Red Dead Redemption 2, and with a slight decline in interest for Helldivers 2 and Rust, which will likely return to the top again, Path of Exile 2 found a spot in the top ten once more.
