The off-road driving simulator "Over the Hill" garnered 100,000 wishlists on Steam in five days
At the end of January, Funselektor and Strelka Games announced over the hill — a car driving simulator that lets you explore mountains, fields, and many other scenic landscapes. The game took only five days to reach the milestone of 100,000 wishlists on Steam.

Pietro De Grandi, CEO and co-founder of Strelka Games, shared the great interest in over the hill on LinkedIn.
At the time of writing, over the hill ranks 265th in the list of the most wished-for upcoming games on Steam. It already has more wishlists than games like Pathologic 3, PIONER, Cronos: The New Dawn, and the Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered collection.
According to De Grandi, several factors contributed to the success of over the hill:
- The Funselektor team previously gained recognition with the minimalist racing game art of rally, which was warmly received by the audience. over the hill became a kind of spiritual successor to those races and did not go unnoticed;
- A captivating trailer was created for over the hill, aiming to showcase all the key features of the game. The main "hook" is the visual aspect of over the hill;
- Several months before the game's announcement, the developers reactivated their TikTok and Instagram* accounts, initially releasing content related to art of rally to engage the audience;
- The creators of over the hill, with the help of the marketing agency Game Drive, reached out to numerous major gaming media outlets such as PC Gamer, Kotaku, and Eurogamer, as well as websites focused on racing and automotive themes. Over a hundred articles about the game have been published. The trailer was also noticed and shared by IGN on their YouTube channel, where it has garnered 222,000 views.
The release date for over the hill is still unknown.
