With no major new releases, the Steam charts leaders have remained largely unchanged. However, many older games have returned to the top spots thanks to new updates or other factors.

Counter-Strike 2 dethroned the previous leader, Path of Exile 2, to become the highest-grossing product on Steam for the week of December 10-17. Steam Deck and Marvel Rivals remained at #3 and #4, respectively.
Helldivers 2 jumped 37 positions to #5 overall (#2 when only looking at premium games) thanks to the launch Omens of Tyranny update. Arrowhead’s multiplayer shooter is now enjoying a renaissance after peaking at over 150k concurrent players over the weekend (for the first time since April).
Total War: Warhammer III returned to the top 10 at #6 overall (#3 among premium titles), moving up 68 positions from the previous week. This is largely thanks to a 60% discount and the release of the Omens of Destruction DLC, which includes three packs: Skulltaker (debuted at #29 overall), Gorbad (#33), and Golgfag (#34).
It Takes Two climbed 49 spots to #14 overall (#7 among premium games) thanks to a historically low 80% discount and the announcement of Hazelight Studios’ new game, Split Fiction. A Way Out, which was 90% off last week, returned to the charts at #94.
Other titles that saw a surge in gross revenue last week include Cyberpunk 2077 (#8, ↑9 places), Warframe (#9, ↑18), Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 (#17, ↑19), and The Sims 4 (#37, ↑25).
