The company, in its most recent financial document, expressed intentions to enhance the revenue potential of titles like Elden Ring through downloadable content (DLC) and ongoing sales.

Although specifics remain uncertain, this strategy might involve creating new first-party development teams or acquiring existing ones. The company referenced the February purchase of Acquire Corp, known for Octopath Traveler, indicating a focus on console projects similar to FromSoftware's endeavors.

Kadokawa is also looking to boost its mobile game offerings by establishing new development studios aimed at increasing both the quantity and quality of their mobile titles.

The development plans are being expanded to support this strategic growth over the medium to long term.

Additionally, starting April 2025, FromSoftware will raise average base salaries for its staff by about 11.8%, as detailed here.
