Delta Force, the anime shooter Strinova, and the fast-food simulator are the hits of the Steam demo festival
Valve has published a list of the most popular demos from the October "Games to Be" festival on Steam. It includes games tried by the highest number of unique players during the event's week.
Delta Force
The top list contains 50 games, which can be viewed in full via this link. Below is the top ten:
- Delta Force;
- SUPERVIVE;
- POPUCOM;
- Gladio Mori;
- Strinova;
- The Precinct;
- Rivals of Aether II;
- Sand;
- Windblown;
- Fast Food Simulator.
The results of this festival differ significantly from the one held in the summer, where players showed a clear preference for online survival games and strategies. Now, gamers are focusing more on action shooters, fighting games, and simulators.
The top five included three free-to-play online projects — Delta Force (an action shooter akin to Battlefield), SUPERVIVE (a MOBA and battle royale hybrid), and Strinova (an anime character shooter).
Almost all games in the top (nine out of 10) support co-op or multiplayer. For instance, POPUCOM, with its cooperative gameplay, took third place on the chart, while the single-player "roguelike" Windblown (currently presented as solo) plans to add co-op for up to three players.
The ranking also includes two fighting games — Gladio Mori and Rivals of Aether II, and the list is rounded off by the fast-food management simulator Fast Food Simulator.
Some developers shared their figures following the festival. The demo of The Precinct was downloaded over 100,000 times, and Windblown was wishlisted by about 500,000 Steam users.
