According to a report, Xbox Cloud Gaming will soon offer support for games already in players' libraries

Microsoft has plans underway to broaden its streaming capabilities to include games owned by players within their Xbox libraries, according to recent reports.

As detailed by The Verge, this new feature is expected to undergo testing among Xbox Insiders as early as November 2024 before becoming available to a wider audience.

Currently, the cloud streaming service supports titles offered through Xbox Game Pass, but does not extend to individually owned games.

The initial announcement by Microsoft in 2022 regarding the support for personal game libraries has yet to be realized, with delays attributed to the extensive infrastructure needed to accommodate thousands of games rather than just the few hundred present in Xbox Game Pass.

The Verge also indicated that licensing agreements or existing deals might lead some publishers to withhold certain titles from the new service.

In related developments, Microsoft recently announced that it will begin offering games for purchase within its Xbox App on Android devices starting next month, as stated by Xbox president Sarah Bond. This update will allow users to buy and play games directly through the app.
