Microids has announced the establishment of a new third-party publishing arm, kicking off this initiative in partnership with Kwalee

Microids has introduced a new segment focused on third-party publishing, enhancing its global alliances through a partnership with Kwalee for the upcoming game from Fallen Tree Games Limited, titled The Precinct.

The firm highlights that the newly formed division is comprised of seven individuals who are part of Microids' existing team. They specialize in areas including editorial, sourcing, and publishing. This initiative is distinct from the indie label initiated by the company in 2017.

Microids emphasizes its track record of collaborations on physical editions with leading companies such as Kepler Interactive for Sifu, Bilibili for F.I.S.T. Forged In Shadow Torch, Forever Entertainment for House of the Dead and Front Mission 1st, as well as Oddworld Inhabitants for Oddworld Soulstorm.

CEO Stéphane Longeard of Microids expressed excitement about the Third-Party Publishing division, indicating that it will enable them to expand their expertise to new partners while reinforcing bonds with existing ones.

Longeard also noted, "These strategic partnerships display our capacity to align with key players in the industry, offering a broad range of high-quality gaming experiences. We're particularly eager to introduce retail versions of The Precinct globally and continue to enhance our selection of iconic games."

Ben Forrester, Kwalee's VP of publishing for PC and console, stated, "We are excited to collaborate with Microids to extend the reach of The Precinct. Their proficiency in physical distribution perfectly complements our vision for this game."
