Crime Scene Cleaner earned $5.44 million on Steam in two months
Two months ago, President Studio and PlayWay released the crime scene cleaner simulator, Crime Scene Cleaner, for PC. Krzysztof Kostowski, the CEO of PlayWay, shared on social media the achievements of the game over this period.

According to him, the gross revenue of Crime Scene Cleaner on Steam in the first 60 days post-launch amounted to $5.44 million. The game’s net revenue from Steam was $4.63 million.
With such income, Crime Scene Cleaner has already recouped its budget multiple times. It is worth noting that its budget was 1.4 million PLN (approximately $361,700).
For comparison, below is the gross revenue on Steam of some other games in PlayWay's portfolio over the same period:
- House Flipper 2 — $10 million;
- Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 — $8.1 million;
- House Flipper — $6.96 million;
- Infection Free Zone — $5.4 million;
- Contraband Police — $5.08 million;
- Car Mechanic Simulator 2018 including its add-ons — $4.8 million.
In just two months, players worldwide have purchased Crime Scene Cleaner more than 355,800 times. Refunds accounted for 21,300 copies. Currently, the simulator is on the wishlists of another 793,100 people.
On average, owners of Crime Scene Cleaner have spent 11 hours and 37 minutes playing the game.
