CarX Street is coming to Steam. Over 600,000 players have added the game to their wishlists. The game is already in the global top 10 for sales
The PC release of the racing simulator CarX Street has taken place. In light of the event, the game's developer — the company CarX Technologies — shared both the number of its wishlists on Steam and the metrics of the original mobile version.
Since the game's page appeared on Steam in 2019, the number of players adding it to their wishlists has surpassed 600,000. The title had no pre-sales, so the initial revenue can only be judged in a couple of days.
Importantly, on PC, the project is distributed not as a free-to-play application but via a premium model at a base price of $19.99. It contains no microtransactions. At the time of writing, the game has entered the global top-10 by revenue on Steam.
Regarding the mobile version, which was released on iOS and Android in 2022, its cumulative downloads have now exceeded 50 million copies. The title's revenue last year alone was over $10 million.
CarX Street is a racing project with an open world and a focus on car park tuning. In the game, players can explore the city, including completing delivery orders for car parts, and participate in sprint races and drift competitions. Besides Steam, the game is available on VK Play and the CarX Store.
CarX Street is the second PC release for the development team. In 2017, the company released CarX Drift Racing Online on Steam. This is also a premium racing game. It currently has more than 70,000 reviews with an "Extremely Positive" rating in the store.
