Ubisoft has confirmed a problem with its Ubisoft+ service on Xbox platforms
Ubisoft has reported a problem affecting some users' ability to connect its Ubisoft+ premium service to Xbox. The issue's origin remains unclear, but several users have indicated it has been ongoing for a number of weeks. Discussions on platforms like Reddit suggest it may have affected access for "over a month" or even more.
Ubisoft is reportedly providing refunds to those impacted due to the absence of a clear resolution timeframe. The company communicated through Eurogamer, a sister site of GamesIndustry.biz, acknowledging the technical difficulties facing a minority of users attempting to link Ubisoft+ with Xbox.
In its statement, Ubisoft advised affected users to contact their customer support and promised to deliver updates at the earliest opportunity.
Furthermore, Ubisoft has established a new partnership for distribution with Blacknut Cloud Gaming. Starting this month, several Ubisoft titles will become available on Blacknut's platform, enabling users to stream more than 500 premium games through a single subscription without any long-term commitment.
