A separate tab for popular free games has appeared on Steam

Gaming expert Simon Carless noted that Valve has slightly updated the Steam interface. The company added a "Trending Free" tab or "Popular Free Games" on the main store page.

The new chart includes both full releases and game prologues along with demo versions.

According to Carless, Valve decided to add this tab amid complaints that demo versions were pushing paid games out of the "Popular New Releases" chart.

At the time of writing, the top three spots in the trending free games chart are occupied by the benchmark Black Myth: Wukong, the demo version of Retail Company Simulator, and the demo version of Frontline Crisis.
