Thirdverse, a company specializing in VR development and publishing, has announced a leadership change with Masaru Ohnogi stepping into the role of CEO.

The firm expressed that this decision aligns with its aim to "create a new virtual world for one billion people" and enhance its international expansion efforts. Ohnogi will continue to manage the US branch.

Ohnogi has been with Thirdverse since October 2020 as a director and Chief Business Officer. His prior roles include positions at WebMoney, Lupicia, Gcrest America, TinierMe, and gumi.

The outgoing CEO, Hironao Kunimitsu, will now serve as representative director and chairman of the board.

Kunimitsu commented, "Having worked with Mr. Ohnogi during my tenure as CEO of gumi, I am delighted to see him take on the roles of representative director, president, and CEO."

He further added, "Ohnogi's vast experience and understanding are crucial for Thirdverse's upcoming growth phase. This new management structure is pivotal for our strategic development. Together, we will aim to innovate future prospects and lead in offering new experiences to users globally."
