Inside the launch of Knights Peak, the new publishing label by My Games

My Games recently introduced a new publishing venture named Knights Peak Interactive. This label focuses on premium games for PCs and consoles. Managed by Eugenio Vitale, the vice president of publishing, alongside Mario Gerhold and Jan-Eric Lauble, Knights Peak has already secured five projects, with three slated for release this year.

Eugenio Vitale elaborated on the launch, indicating that the label aims to broaden My Games' business by capitalizing on premium titles from both second and third-party developers. "Our goal is to ensure that our partners and their projects receive the attention they deserve," he emphasized.

Vitale explained that the gaming market's transition from free-to-play towards buy-to-play led to the creation of Knights Peak, as My Games had limited knowledge in the premium sector. "Since I joined My Games in March 2023, I was given the chance to diversify and lead this new division," he stated, highlighting the expert team assembled, including Mario Gerhold and Jan-Eric Lauble, aimed at lifting studios' global reach and brand.

The principle of flexibility is core to Knights Peak's publishing strategy, focusing on varying approaches across formats and regions. The upcoming games in their lineup reflect this philosophy.

"We aim for every game to introduce fresh ideas within its genre [...] to resonate with players"

The first title released was the console version of Offworld Industries' Starship Troopers. Upcoming releases include Nikoderiko: The Magical World from VEA Games, Mandragora by Primal Game Studio, Pathfinder: Kingmaker from Owlcat Games, and Blast Brigade by My Games.

Looking ahead to 2025, Knights Peak plans to launch four to five games and aims for five to six by 2026. Vitale notes that the label carefully selects partners based on games that display a unique identity, familiarity, and superior quality. "We aim for every game to introduce fresh ideas within its genre, blending innovation with elements that resonate with players," he added, emphasizing the importance of developers' pride leading to player satisfaction.

Vitale affirmed that Knights Peak's chief aim is to release its current projects while offering ongoing support to developers. "We're enthusiastic about forming solid connections with players and are also keenly focused on future growth and long-term development," he concluded.
