Armor Games Studio has implemented layoffs, though the precise number of affected employees remains undisclosed.

Despite the absence of an official statement from the company, multiple staff members have verified the job losses on various social media platforms and LinkedIn.

Former marketing manager Ariana Perry shared on X, "Today is my last day at Armor Games Studios."

She added, "Although it will take some time to adjust, I am profoundly grateful for the wonderful colleagues and developers I collaborated with during my tenure."

Senior producer Michelle Lega also took to X to express her feelings, stating, "Although I was aware this was coming, it still feels surreal."

She noted, "My experience at Armor was exceptional, largely due to my fantastic coworkers and the developers I interacted with."

Perry further hinted that the entire publishing division was impacted, mentioning: "we’ll all be seeking new employment soon. If you need a publishing team, we are highly capable and work well together."

It remains uncertain how these layoffs will influence the company's release plans. Armor Games' website indicates that three titles – Defender's Quest 2: Mists of Ruin, Snacko, and Deep Sleep Labyrinth of the Forsaken – are scheduled for release in 2024.

Additionally, two more – Sonny Legacy Collection and Warfare Legacy Collections – are marked as "coming soon."

In related news, Humble Games announced last week that while it had released several developers due to reorganization plans, the company was not shutting down, and future releases would proceed as planned.

However, former employees of Humble challenged the company's assertion regarding the restructuring, arguing that it downplays the real impact on the workforce.

A former employee, speaking anonymously to GamesIndustry.biz, labeled the company's statement as "patently incorrect," highlighting that the layoffs encompassed the entire staff at Humble Games.
