PUBG became the highest-grossing game on Steam for the week of July 9-16, jumping four positions thanks to a new patch, store update, and special Automobili Lamborghini skins. This is the second time in a month that Krafton’s game has topped the charts, taking 1st spot on June 18 after launching an in-game event with K-pop group NewJeans.
It is followed by Dota 2 (↑12 places), The First Descendant (↓2), and Counter-Strike 2 (↓1), with Steam Deck rounding out the top 5.
Once Human, a new free-to-play survival shooter from NetEase, debuted at #8 overall. Despite getting mixed reviews at launch due to a confusion over its ToS, the game also peaked at 231k concurrent players and generated enough revenue from in-app purchases to land in the top 10.
Below are the top 10 premium games by gross revenue for the week of July 9-16 (excluding F2P titles and Steam Deck):
- Elden Ring
- Baldur’s Gate 3
- Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree
- Chained Together
- Cyberpunk 2077
- Grand Theft Auto V
- Black Myth: Wukong
- Red Dead Redemption 2
- Forza Horizon 4
- EA Sports FC 24

Other highest-grossing titles of the previous week were Elden Ring (#6) and its Shadow of the Erdtree Expansion (#10), as well as free-to-play live services like Apex Legends (#7, ↑16), Naraka: Bladepoint (#12), and Destiny 2 (#14).
There were also some older hits like Cyberpunk 2077 (#13) and Red Dead Redemption 2 (#15), which performed well thanks to the lingering effects of the Summer Sale (ended July 11).
Krafton’s free-to-play card game Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel returned to the charts at #22 thanks to the release of the new Selection Pack.
Another impressive comeback is Chinese gacha game Snowbreak: Containment Zone, which suddenly landed at #27. Developed by Amazing Seasun, it is also available on mobile, where it has generated over $14 million in IAP revenue since July 2023 (via AppMagic).
Overwatch 2 also returned to the top 100 at #29 after the release of the new update and limited-time event with Transformers.
