Mystic Forge, an independent publishing house, secures €2 million in financing

Independent game publisher Mystic Forge has secured €2 million through a funding round.

The investment, spearheaded by ForsVC and ROM Utrecht Region, aims to provide the publisher with the necessary resources to enhance its lineup of games.

"This capital injection enables us to expand our catalog and obtain more titles," co-founder Paul Hanraets explained. "Despite our global reach, we remain dedicated to supporting the gaming communities in Utrecht and Belgium."

Jeffrey Williams, senior investment manager at ROM Utrecht Region, remarked, "Collaborating with Mystic Forge elevates our gaming sector with their profound industry knowledge and connections, thereby fortifying our ecosystem and enticing more investment to the area."

Established in 2023, Mystic Forge was founded by industry veterans Paul Hanraets, Randy Greenback, and Vernon Vrolijk, who previously worked at Good Shepherd Entertainment. Their focus lies in developing strategy, simulation, and role-playing games for the PC platform.
