Xbox Cloud Gaming is set to launch on Amazon Fire TV in specific markets

Microsoft has teamed up with Amazon to extend Xbox Cloud Gaming to Amazon's recent Fire TV Stick models.

In a blog update, Microsoft revealed that the Xbox app will arrive on Fire TV for two chosen regions starting next month. This enhancement lets those with an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription enjoy cloud-based games from Microsoft's collection.

This initial launch will focus on Fire TV Stick 4K and Fire TV Stick 4K Max, which debuted last year at $49.99 and $59.99 respectively, offering a cost-effective route to Xbox gaming.

Players must use a Bluetooth-connected wireless controller. As per Amazon's blog, compatible controllers include Sony's DualShock 4 and DualSense.

Besides needing an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership for the full game collection, non-members will still have the option to play Fortnite through the Xbox app.

This venture continues Microsoft's push to broaden Game Pass accessibility through cloud gaming, mirroring their previous collaboration with Samsung on Smart TVs.
