Chained Together entered the top 10 games of 2024 with the highest online player count on Steam

We previously mentioned that the cooperative platformer Chained Together made it to Steam's bestseller chart for the past week. But that is not its only achievement. According to SteamDB, the game managed to become the tenth biggest release in 2024 in terms of online presence on Steam, surpassing titles like Ghost of Tsushima and Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor.

Chained Together

Currently, the top 10 games of 2024 by online presence on Steam are:

1. Palworld — 2,101,867 players;
2. Helldivers 2 — 458,709 players;
3. Last Epoch — 264,708 players;
4. Dragon’s Dogma 2 — 228,585 players;
5. Content Warning — 204,439 players;
6. Manor Lords — 173,178 players;
7. Enshrouded — 160,405 players;
8. Granblue Fantasy: Relink — 114,054 players;
9. Hades II — 103,567 players;
10. Chained Together — 85,638 players.

Note: we did not include Banana in the top (with an online presence of over 917,000 users) because, according to the admission of the project’s developers themselves, the majority of Banana’s audience consists of bots rather than real players. Additionally, games like V Rising, which officially released in 2024 but reached their peak online presence during early access, are not included in the top.

Chained Together is a cooperative game for up to four players, where players chained together attempt to escape from hell and climb to the top of the world. It is the debut game of indie studio Anegar Games.
