Elden Ring online on Steam tripled following the release of the expansion
On the night of June 20th to 21st, FromSoftware released the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion for Elden Ring. Following the release, Elden Ring's concurrent players on Steam jumped to 589,948.

This is a high, but not record-breaking, number. At the game's release in February 2022, Elden Ring's peak concurrent players on Steam exceeded 953,000. Nevertheless, compared to recent days, the player count has multiplied: on June 19th, the peak concurrent players numbered only 194,570 — three times less. It's possible that the player count will increase even more over the weekend.
