Black Myth: Wukong has taken the top spot in the weekly Steam chart
Recently, the creators of Black Myth: Wukong opened pre-orders for the game, and Steam users immediately began placing orders en masse. As a result, for the week of June 4 to June 11, the role-playing action game about the Monkey King climbed to the top of the sales chart, surpassing the portable PC Steam Deck and free-to-play hits like Counter-Strike 2 and Destiny 2.

This is not too surprising considering that Black Myth: Wukong is currently leading in Steam's wishlist count. Additionally, at the Summer Game Fest 2024 presentation, the developers reminded everyone of the upcoming game release, which is scheduled for August 20.
Other observations in the chart: the multiplayer shooter Bodycam, developed by two French developers aged 17 and 20, made it into the top 10. Thanks to a 50% discount, sales of Street Fighter 6 skyrocketed, moving the game from the 65th to the 10th position. Sid Meier’s Civilization VI also returned to the chart, taking 19th place. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 continued to drop, falling to the 24th position.
