In 2023, Apple removed nearly 18,000 games from the App Store
Apple Corporation regularly removes products from its app store that do not meet App Store requirements. Recently, it reported that last year it removed 116,117 apps, 15% of which were games.
In total, 17,853 games were removed from the App Store over the year. According to Apple's report, this is the largest category of removed apps. Utilities took second place with 17,779 removed apps. Business-related products rounded out the top three with 10,560 apps.
In 2022, Apple removed significantly more apps. The total number of removed projects then was 186,195, including 38,883 games.
