Microsoft Report: Xbox Quarterly Revenue Up 51% Thanks to Activision Blizzard
Microsoft has published a report for the third quarter of fiscal 2024 (January-March 2024). According to him, Activision Blizzard helped the gaming division of the corporation achieve impressive revenue growth.

- Revenue from Microsoft's gaming division rose to a record $5.45 billion in the history of the third quarter. This is 51% more than last year. Without Activision Blizzard, revenue would have fallen by 4%.
- According to Microsoft CFO Amy Hood, the main driver of growth was Call of Duty.
- Activision Blizzard itself earned $1.97 billion in the quarter. But its operating loss was $353 million.
- Revenue from sales of Xbox game content and services increased by 62% — Activision Blizzard was responsible for 61% of the growth.
- At the same time, revenue from console sales fell by 31% at once.
- Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella noted that the gaming division has set records for the number of monthly active devices, the time spent using consoles and the number of hours spent by players in the Xbox Cloud Gaming service.
