Carless, based on data from the analytical service GameDiscoverCo, estimated the gross revenue of the Steam version of Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader in December at $12.6 million. He did not share other figures, so it is not known how much the game earned in the Epic Games Store, GOG and on consoles (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series). The circulation of the project is also unclear.
Recall that Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader was released on December 7. The game immediately began to show good results: in particular, it took fifth place in the top Steam bestsellers for the week from December 5 to December 12 (or second place if you exclude Steam Deck and free projects from the top).
According to SteamDB, the novelty of Owlcat Games at its peak on December 10 simultaneously attracted 45,405 Steam users. This is only 1,319 fewer people than Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, the studio's previous game, had at the time. Due to such high interest from the audience, Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader was able to take the seventh place in terms of peak online Steam among games with the CRPG tag, ahead of Pillars of Eternity (41,906 people) and Star Wars: The Old Republic (34,210 people).
In a month online, Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader on Steam has decreased. At the time of writing, 7,379 people are in the game at the same time.
