The Steam team has published lists with the most successful games of the past year.

When compiling the lists, data for the period from January 1 to December 15, 2023 were taken into account. The games in them are arranged in a random order.

Steam has divided the top games into four categories, depending on how much the game earned over the year: "platinum", "gold", "silver" and "bronze". We have selected only "platinum" projects.

Sales Leaders

Steam has included the games with the highest gross revenue in this top by the end of 2023. As in previous years, the site did not disclose specific figures.

The best novelties

Steam has included the games that earned the most in the first two weeks of sales since release.

The best games released from early access in 2023

This list includes games that were released from early access in 2023. At the same time, their revenue was counted both before and after the official release.

The best VR exclusives

Steam also listed the best-selling virtual reality games. Note that the platform took into account only those games that were developed specifically for VR headsets. Games in which the VR function is not the main one were not included in the list.

The most popular games

Steam added games to the "platinum" category, whose online traffic exceeded 300 thousand people in 2023. The platform did not take into account the sharp jumps in online projects against the background of sales or free weekends.
