Baldur's Gate 3 surpassed Starfield in terms of engagement on American Steam in September
Analyst Mat Piscatella from Circana also said that in September, Steam users from the United States played Counter-Strike 2, Baldur's Gate 3 and Starfield the most actively.
Piscatella did not share specific figures on the games.
According to SteamDB, last month, about a million Steam users from all over the world played Counter-Strike 2 every day at the same time. This is significantly more than in Baldur's Gate 3 and Starfield. However, this gap is not surprising, given that Counter-Strike 2 is distributed for free.
The steam version of Baldur's Gate 3 in September gathered an average of about 350 thousand simultaneous players from all over the world every day (and at the beginning of the month the daily online traffic exceeded 500 thousand people). The steam version of Starfield has about 200 thousand simultaneous players from all over the world.
Separately, Piscatella pointed out that in September Baldur's Gate 3 ranked 20th in terms of engagement on PlayStation 5 consoles in the United States.
