Gamers: Microsoft is going to use Activision Blizzard to oust PlayStation from the market
American gamers who are suing Microsoft over a deal with Activision Blizzard have found “indisputable proof” of Microsoft’s plans to oust the PlayStation from the market. They believe that this is why the corporation buys Activision Blizzard.
According to gamers, such plans were discussed by the heads of Microsoft’s gaming division. Gamers attached to their lawsuit a copy of an email sent by the head of Xbox Game Studios, Matt Booty, to Xbox CFO Tim Stewart. Its content is hidden from the public, so only the participants of the court can find out what exactly it says.
Microsoft representatives in a comment to the Axios portal confirmed the authenticity of the letter, but stated that it had nothing to do with the case being considered in court. They also indicated that the letter was sent back in 2019 — two years before the announcement of the deal with Activision Blizzard.
