Phil Spencer is ready to discuss with Sony and regulators a longer stay of Call of Duty on PlayStation

This was stated by the head of Xbox in the framework of the Decoder podcast. He did not name the approximate period for which Call of Duty may linger on Sony consoles, but noted that it is a bit silly to expect Microsoft to sign a contract with the word “forever”.

However, Spencer added that the series will be on PlayStation as long as console owners want to play it.

Spencer also stressed that Microsoft is not building any cunning plans. The native Call of Duty will remain on the PlayStation, and if necessary, the company can even develop a streaming version for Sony subscriptions.
