Blizzard's license agreement for publishing games in China has almost expired

Activision Blizzard may face difficulties selling games in China. In the financial report, she mentioned that in January 2023, the license agreement for the publication of some Blizzard games expires. The company is negotiating an extension of the deal, but is not sure that it will be possible to reach an agreement.

Activision Blizzard stressed that this agreement does not apply to Diablo Immortal. The game is distributed in China under another contract.

In 2021, the Chinese versions of Blizzard games were responsible for 3% of the net revenue of all Activision Blizzard.
