Over 10 years, Microsoft has paid over $4 billion to indie developers as part of ID@Xbox

Microsoft has celebrated the 10th anniversary of the ID@Xbox program. In honor of this, she shared a number of numbers.

According to Microsoft, to date, more than 5 thousand indie developers have joined the program. They have already released over 3 thousand games on Xbox and are preparing to release as many more. Most of the games published under the program are action and adventure games (39%), followed by strategies and simulators (13%), as well as puzzles and board games (9%).

Over the past year alone, indie developers have received about $1.5 billion in royalties under ID@Xbox. And in just 10 years, Microsoft has paid them over $4 billion.
