The Taiwanese publisher Lineage M was fined $67.1 thousand. He has imperceptibly reduced the probability of losing valuable items
Gamania Digital, which publishes the MMORPG Lineage M in Taiwan, lost a court to an esports player. He claimed that the company had reduced the probability of losing valuable items to 5%. This is twice as low as in the original Korean version of the game.
At the same time, Gamania Digital wrote about 10% on the official website.
According to DinTer, last August he spent about $38.7 thousand in Lineage M to make a rare weapon. He had to get a special cloth, but out of 175 attempts, only 4 were successful. After that, he suspected that Gamania Digital was cheating gamers.
