Analyst: Sony will release PlayStation VR 2 in the first quarter of 2023
This forecast was shared by the analyst of the Hong Kong firm TF International Securities Ming-Chi Kuo (Ming-Chi Kuo). However, he noted that the exact release date of the VR headset will largely depend on the game development schedule.
According to Kuo’s estimates, mass production of PlayStation VR 2 will begin in the second half of 2022 and about 1.5 copies of the device will be released by the time of release.
Sony previously announced that PlayStation VR 2 will support more than 20 games at the launch.
