Bloomberg: PlayStation employees criticized Jim Ryan's letter calling for "respect for different opinions" about abortion
The last two weeks in the United States have been hotly discussing the possible abolition of the constitutional right to abortion. Jim Ryan, the head of Sony’s gaming division, did not stand aside either.
In a letter to PlayStation employees, Ryan stated that Sony is “a multifaceted company that adheres to different points of view,” and asked employees to respect all possible opinions.
Then he decided to tell “about something carefree” and devoted the next five paragraphs to the birthday of his cats. Ryan also added that he would like to get a dog, because dogs “know their place and perform useful functions, for example, bite robbers and run after balls.”
According to Bloomberg, PlayStation employees were dissatisfied with the tone of the letter and disrespect for women’s rights.
