Valve allowed to release a hentai game without censorship on Steam

Last week, Valve announced new content filters on Steam. One of the options allows you to show or exclude from the search content with the “Adult Only” marker.

The introduction of the filter was part of Valve’s new strategy announced in June. According to her, it is not the platform, but the users who should decide which content to consume. The task of the platform is to enable players to manage filters that will display the content that is interesting to users.

With the update of the latest Steam began to display games on its pages that were previously not allowed to be released on the site. One of the first such games was Negligee: Love Stories, an interactive anime novella in which scenes of a sexual nature are not censored.

The new Pokémon GO functionality increased the active audience of the game by 35% and was released in Russia (but this is not related)

Niantic studio said that since May of this year, the number of active Pokémon GO players has jumped by 35%. Studio representatives explain this with the release of a major update in June, which added new social features to the game (including the ability to give gifts to friends).

Also today it became known that two years after the worldwide release, Pokémon GO became available for download in Russia.

Jurassic World Alive’s revenue totaled $25 million

And a little more about geolocation games. A mobile project about finding and collecting dinosaurs Jurassic World Alive from Ludia has earned $25 million since May this year.

Now the revenue from the project is less than after the release. In August, the game earned $1.2 million per week compared to $2.5 million per week in June. But this is expected, given that Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom was in the cinema in June.
