Google Play has changed the algorithms for recommending games
For recommendations of Google Play games and apps, high retention rates, rare crashes and a low number of deletions have gained more weight.
Recommendation algorithms have been changed to advise users of better applications, the developers claim.
According to the company‘s product manager Paul Bankhead, users react positively to these changes: the more high-quality games in the store’s recommendations, the more people play downloaded games. Bankhead did not provide specific statistics.
Google Play recommends using tips from the developer’s blog and recommendations from developer.android.com .
