Gaming celebrities began to curate content in the PlayStation Store
Sony has introduced The Creators initiative, in which well-known game developers recommend games to PlayStation Network (PSN) users.
A new section with tips appeared in the American, French and German PSN.
The Creators have already been curated by the president of Sony’s Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida, the founder of the Media Molecule studio Siobhan Reddy and the managing director of Guerrilla Games Herman Hulst.
The section also contains recommendations from the development teams of Psyonix, Double Eleven, Capy, Supergiant Games and Square Enix studios.
Many curators are expected to promote their own games, but there are exceptions: Shuhei Yoshida loves the indie platformer Downwell, and Siobhan Reddy recommends playing the comedy dating simulator Kitty Powers’ Matchmaker.
Sony reports that it will expand The Creators program to other regions in the future, but does not yet name exact dates.
