The Cyprus WN Conference gathered more than 550 participants. Among the key speakers were representatives of Mundfish and Google Play

Last week — from September 8-9 — the first autumn session of the WN Conference was held in Limassol this year. The organizers report that they are very pleased with its results.

A total of 550 participants are reported. Most of them — 57% — are founders and top managers. Developers (17%) and business development managers (14%) also accounted for a solid share.

350 companies were officially present at the conference. These were mainly development teams (38%) and game publishing teams (13%). Also, a significant share fell on firms engaged in promotion (12%).

The geography of participating companies is wide. The conference was attended by businesses from 48 countries of the world. In 63% of cases, it was about European teams.

If we talk about the program, most of the reports were devoted to the business aspects of the industry. For example, AdQuantum called for the creation of creatives to be treated as work on miniature games, and Owlcat Games discussed the role of community management in audience retention.

Much attention was focused on the two question and answer sessions. We are talking about the speech of a Google Play representative on the first day of the event and about the voluminous presentation of Mundfish CEO Robert Bagratuni on the second.

Marina Lopatina, Director of Business Development at Talents In Games, shared the results of the survey “How much do they earn in the gaming industry in Cyprus” at a closed session. By the way, we will share its expanded version with readers in a few days App2Top.ru .

Against the background of a busy program, WN traditionally had active networking. Among the participants of which — including as sponsors — Nexters, Yandex Ads, Adjust, TapClap, Game Distribution, Liftoff, AppsFlyer, Belka Games, Sociaro, STRATAGEN, Prospectacy and many others were noted.

We were glad to return to Cyprus. This is a wonderful island with an energetic and creative community. And it was all the more pleasant for us to receive an extremely warm feedback from him,” said Yulia Lebedeva, Chief Operating Officer and partner at WN Media Group.

The next event from WN will be held next week. On September 21, Istanbul will host the CEO Summit, a chamber event focused exclusively on the owners, founders and CEOs of companies.
