Developers can now respond to user reviews in the App Store

In the latest versions of iOS and macOS, Apple has given developers the ability to directly respond to user reviews in the App Store.

The option appeared in iOS 10.3 and macOS 10.12.4, released on March 27. Responses can be added and edited to any reviews for all time. But the app page in the store will “display only one answer,” according to Apple.

Apple emphasized the role of direct responses in shaping the community around a game or application. The company advised developers to “communicate in the spirit of your brand” and use this opportunity to discuss any updates.

Developers will be able to filter reviews via iTunes Connect in several ways: by rating, territory, unanswered reviews and reviews with the latest updates.

Let’s add that the function of developers’ response to user reviews has existed in the competing Google Market since 2013.

According to experts, this small innovation will significantly affect the quality of product support in the App Store.
